The story of the Unglesby Funeral Home begins when Wilson Unglesby was born in 1846 and was a resident of Warren County all his life. From the early 1830's to 1888, there was an undertaking establishment in Merrittstown, which was established by Alexander Lewis, the grandfather of Mr. And Mrs. Wilson Unglesby, and in later years, the business was handed down to his father, and was continued by him until his death.
In January of 1888, Wilson Unglesby moved with his family to Lebanon and entered into the undertaking business there, in connection with the furniture store.
In January of 1895, Clifton W. Unglesby, Wilson's son, and Fred S. Bone, a son-in-law, were taken into partnership, and the firm of W. Unglesby and Sons was created.

In 1963, Wib and Charles built a new facility located at 1357 E. 2nd St (St Rt 73) and the business still operates there today.
